Love That Opens You Up
Love That Opens You Up
Gather near Dear Beloveds!
You know…
There is a love that opens you up
and changes you forever.
But how do we keep a tender heart
through all the bitter weather?
Remember who believed in you
when you could barely stand.
Remember who saw you without judgment.
Remember who reached and took your hand.
Those special souls who never asked us to be more?
They saw who you already were!
Oh Dear Beloveds
Treasure the Love that opens you up!
The Love that lets you be.
The love that sees you as you are
and says, “You’re enough for me”
Moments of magic!
Places of rescue!
We gather them into our hearts
and let their love come through!
There is love that opens you up
and it keeps on opening you!
Must it be someone close to us,
someone who knows our name?
It can be anyone or anything…
A stranger looking through a window
can offer you the same
A creature resting near you
A mountain standing still
The wind that meets you on your morning run
when you thought you’d lost the will
And all these little things that we almost miss?
Leave room in your heart for this!
Oh Dear Beloveds
Treasure the Love that opens you up!
Love that opens you up
Love that lets you be
Love that sees you as you are
and says, “You’re enough for me”
Moments of magic!
Places of rescue!
We gather these treasures into our hearts
and let their love come through.
This is a love that opens you up
and it keeps on opening you!
But some we love are gone now.
Ah Dear One
What did they leave with you?
With sweetness and tears,
We remember the way we felt beside them
The selves they helped us know
And when you call those moments in time?
Knowing there’s somewhere we can go
A place of rescue deep within us
Where we are embraced in love,
where our hearts are always full
You can rest there for a while!
We can rest Dear One
We can get our fill.
And when we have to close the door
To keep ourselves from harm?
You can choose who crosses over
You can choose whose waiting arms
remember how it felt to give
and find yourself receiving eternal love
Recall how some you came to help
restored your own belief in love
No matter how much love you give,
you get more in return.
When your heart is open
the universe thanks you
and keeps your heart full.
We carry out the love…
And came home carrying more!
It’s true, it’s true…
The Love that opens you up
is the Love that lets you be
the Love that sees you as you are
helps your heart believe
Moments of magic
Places of rescue
We gather them into our hearts
and carry their love through
And when the world grows hard again?
We’ll remember what we knew
Gather up the love that opens you up
And let it keep opening you
Who held a little hope for you?
We carry that love
Who saw something good in you?
We carry that love
What met you on the road today?
We carry that love
And what have you got left to give?
We carry that love
Love that opens you up
Love that opens you up
We gather it into our hearts
and let it open us up
