Destination: Love

Destination: Love

Love is our destiny.
Love is our destiny.

How many years did this stardust
take to become us?
How many years did it take
for us to become Love?
Oh, Master of Love,
why does it take so long?

Billions of years
for the stars to forge your bones,
a lifetime for your hearts to remember—
and only one breath
to become Love.

But where was Love
before we knew?

It was there between the atoms,
in the subatomic waves—
waiting without waiting
before the stars had names,
before you mistook becoming
for anything but remembering.

Destination: Love—
it’s a staycation, dear.
No airports, no planes,
no stations, no trains.

No distance to cross,
nowhere else to be.
You don’t even have
to open your eyes
if you can be still
and let your heart see.

Looking into Kambaba Jasper,
three billion years look back at me.
That ancient green, that breathless life—
was it the ancestor of the gem I see?

The ancient green became the stone,
and the stone became a mirror.
Every age was bringing you
nearer and nearer.

Now I remember who I am:
I and I are the Gem
that Love has always known.

You are the Gem
that Love has always known.

Destination: Love—
it’s a staycation, dear.
No airports, no planes,
no stations, no trains.

No distance to cross,
nowhere else to be.
You don’t even have
to open your eyes
if you can let your heart see.

Oh, dear Master,
so many years have gone by.
Why does it take so long
to realize who we are?
What has this long game
got to do with Love?

The long game is the forgetting—
Love hiding inside every wound,
every stranger, every goodbye,
until you recognize yourself
in all you thought was “other”.

Love wished not only to exist,
but to awaken—
to look through your eyes
and freely choose itself.

I’ve been on this long journey to Love,
only to find it was already here—
hidden beneath my limitations,
waiting behind my fear.

You were never travelling toward Love;
Love was travelling through you.

Love was travelling through me—

Until you became clear.

Until we became clear.

Destination: Love—
we have already arrived.
No airports, no planes—
only this moment, alive.

No distance to cross,
nothing more to achieve.
We don’t even have
to open our eyes
when we let our hearts see.

Love is our origin.
Love is our destiny.
Love was never far away—
Love is what we came to be.

How many years did it take
for us to become Love?

Not one, dear Ones.
You were Love
before time had begun.
